All Tuchner Engineering personnel are certified to perform laser alignment at the highest level of complexity,
using advanced laser alignment systems.
Performing laser alignment of rotating equipment together with the use of precision
stainless-steel shims ensures that all rotating components turn around a common axis of symmetry.
This minimizes radial and axial forces on machine parts, reduces friction, and maximizes machine life.
The advantage of laser alignment is its measurement accuracy down to thousandths of a millimeter
and the speed of measurement, which shortens the overall alignment task.
Laser alignment can be performed on the following systems:
- Horizontal alignment of rotating equipment
- Vertical alignment of rotating equipment
- Alignment of multiple couplings on a single shaft (train alignment)
- Flatness/straightness check of a machine base prior to installation
- Straightness check of an extruder barrel
Laser alignment systems can also be used to determine the thermal growth of a specific component
under operating conditions, and its relation to machine condition when cold or hot.
Tuchner Engineering performs laser-alignment work according to the most stringent standards and with high availability.
In addition, precision stainless-steel shims can be supplied upon request.
