About Tuchner Engineering

Tuchner Engineering – technical support

Tuchner Engineering is led by Yossi Tuchner, a mechanical engineer (Technion) with an MBA and part of a select group of professionals worldwide officially certified as experts in vibration analysis for rotating equipment per ISO-18436 CAT-III. Since 1998, Yossi has gained extensive international experience in vibration analysis of rotating equipment and in implementing predictive maintenance policies across industrial plants and public facilities worldwide.

Drawing on his roles as a company engineer in several organizations and as a plant engineer in the food industry, Yossi brings extensive experience in advising and supporting plants’ technical management teams from periodic vibration data collection and analysis and comprehensive diagnostics for problematic machines to hands-on mechanical field work.

Our Unique Advantage. We are vendor-neutral and hands-on. We don’t just deliver insights, we diagnose, recommend and implement. Whether or not you use an Industry 4.0 stack, our approach bridges the gap between analysis and corrective action, and we take full responsibility for results.

Services can be provided as a comprehensive package or individually

  • End-to-end service to raise the reliability of rotating equipment across the plant by implementing predictive-maintenance policy, supporting organizational changes in the maintenance department, performing tests and the maintenance actions derived from them, delivering training, and providing any additional support needed to achieve shared goals resulting in a significant improvement in rotating-equipment availability.
  • Periodic vibration monitoring of rotating equipment as part of implementing predictive maintenance in the plant.
  • Comprehensive vibration analysis to provide an expert opinion for specific equipment.
  • Laser alignment services, including disassembly and installation of rotating equipment.
  • Thermographic imaging for rotating equipment as a complementary test to vibration analysis.
  • Ultrasonic monitoring for rotating equipment, compressed-air leak detection, and more.
  • Maintenance brokerage for rotating-equipment motor overhauls, pump overhauls, gearbox overhauls, on-site bearing replacements, and more taking full responsibility for the process: diagnosis, repair, post-installation testing, and verification of effectiveness.
  • Engineering services to modify rotating equipment so its reliability increases under current operating and environmental conditions, with full responsibility for results: diagnosis, recommendations, implementation, post-installation testing, and verification of effectiveness. We also market equipment for advanced maintenance of rotating machinery.

Training is provided in the following areas:

  • Maintenance methods and maintenance-policy strategy
  • Tools for diagnosing the condition of rotating equipment
  • Vibration monitoring and analysis for rotating equipment
  • Laser alignment
  • Bearings fundamentals, applications, failure diagnosis, and more
  • Lubrication fundamentals, applications, diagnosis, and more

To provide clients with the clearest answers about the source of faults in vibrating machines, failure investigations are periodically performed to identify forcing functions or natural frequencies using Modal Analysis, ODS, and Run-up/Coast-down techniques.

In 2017, Tuchner Engineering established a department focused on failure investigations using the revolutionary technology by RDI Technologies, known as IRIS™ Enhanced Vision / Motion Amplification®. This equipment provides the information clients need to make high-stakes decisions quickly and confidently regarding the most effective actions to improve machine reliability.
