Tuchner Engineering provides technical and organizational consulting for the plant’s technical
management team or for commercial facilities such as hospitals, shopping centers, and residential towers
with the goal of joint work that delivers a significant increase in machine availability and a reduction
in maintenance and related costs.
The support process covers several areas:
Current-state assessment across multiple domains:
- Equipment availability and the share of downtime, from technical, operational, and safety perspectives
- Overall condition of the machines
- Condition of supporting infrastructure and utilities
- Availability and resources of the technical/maintenance department
- Identification of gaps in the technical spare-parts inventory and spares planning
- Identification of obstacles that prevent the technical department from achieving better performance
- Support in reprioritizing maintenance activities shifting the center of gravity
from breakdown or purely preventive maintenance to predictive maintenance
- Ongoing guidance and effectiveness checks throughout the engagement until completion
In addition, the entire process can be aligned with
ISO 55000
(asset-management standard) to prepare the plant for an external audit of that standard.
